DESCRIPTION:

  • Poor body image for gay men refers to a negative perception and dissatisfaction with one's physical appearance. This often involves critical self-evaluation and unrealistic comparisons to idealized body types. This course examines its causes and how it can be tackled.

ISSUES:

As a gay man, you might feel the following a result of having a poor image of your body:

  • Eating disorders.
  • Obsessive behaviours.
  • Fear of rejection.
  • Difficulty with intimacy.

OUTCOMES:

  • At the end of this course, you will have examined reasons why so many gay men have such a poor image of themselves.
  • By following the course, and incorporating Life Coaching techniques, you will have been able to improve your self-Image and body confidence.

 

Establishing barriers in relationships:

DESCRIPTION:

  • This course examines the importance of establishing clear barriers in our lives. Too many gay men accept situations that are potentially harmful and disempowering. Clients will learn techniques that will enable them to lead the life they seek with others in a respectful manner.

ISSUES:

As a gay man, you might feel the following as a result of not setting boundaries:

  • Emotional burnout.
  • Strained relationships.
  • Loss of identity.

OUTCOMES:

  • At the end of this course, you will have learned the importance of establishing barriers in different relationships – personal and professional.
  • You will have a greater validation of your self-worth and feel empowered.

Procrastination:

DESCRIPTION:

  • This course examines procrastination in gay men – the art of putting things off. You will discover what it is, how to recognise when it is occurring and how to deal with it.

ISSUES:

As a gay man who procrastinates, you might be experiencing the following:

  • Increased stress and anxiety.
  • Decreased productivity.
  • lowered self-esteem.

OUTCOMES:

  • At the end of this course, you will have learned the causes of procrastination.
  • By following this program, you will have learned techniques in recognising when it occurs and how to tackle it.
